Tom Ford Fall 2013

Thank God for Tom Ford! Just when I was thinking that although there's been several great shows, nothing from London has really knocked my socks off so far. Well worry no more! Mr. Ford has taken care of that with a faaaabulous collection staged yesterday at the first runway show for his namesake label.

In the past we had to wait to see images from the collections but thankfully we get instant gratification with Fall 2013. Sequins! Patchwork! Fur! Ka-pow motifs! And the boots! OMG the boots! Everything was so incredibly over the top it bordered on bad taste. And that's precisely why I loved it. There's a place for clothes like this just as there's a place for the chic minimal styles of Narciso Rodriguez or Calvin Klein. You need to have both to fully appreciate each style.
