Hand Held Beauties

When I was younger I never carried a clutch when I'd go out for an evening. I'd resort to stuffing my cash and ID in my bra or shoe. But then I grew up and decided that carrying a clutch or a minaudiere was not only a better way of storing my stuff but also kind of fun. Also I really like saying the word 'minaudiere'. I love, love, love this Louise Gray for Topshop dress! So sparkly! The entire collection is a sequin lover's dream come true.

Grace Coddington X Balenciaga

Vogue creative director and known cat lover Grace Coddington has designed some limited edition accessories for Balenciaga featuring drawings of cats. The drawings feature Grace's cat, Pumpkin, wearing several different iconic Balenciaga looks from the past.

The bag, pictured below, costs $1,000 and 20% of all proceeds will benefit the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons. So you can enjoy the adorable kitty drawings and feel good about helping animals at the same time! There are also 2 scarves available in the print; a classic silk twill ($395) and a fringed wool and silk ($495). The accessories are available starting on Fashion's Night Out at Balenciaga stores in New York and Los Angeles.

Pleats and Champagne

This is what I wore to dinner with the BF at Quartino last Saturday night. Yummy! Afterwards we went across the street to Pops for Champagne which is, of course, a very swanky champagne bar. Instead of the Bears pre-season game (gag) they had Spring 2012 runway shows on the TV's. Fashion and champagne! Now that's my kind of bar! While we were there, we made a new friend and he shared his $800 bottle of champagne with me. The first (but hopefully not the last!) time I've ever drank something that expensive. Also, we saw a girl throw her glass of champagne at her date and storm out of the bar. So a very entertaining    night overall.
