Summer is right around the corner and that makes me think of wearing sunglasses and lounging around the pool all day reading trashy novels and drinking beer/assorted fruity vodka drinks/all of the above. Although you can wear sunglasses all year round of course. But I wouldn't suggest the lounging by the pool all year round. Unless you live in one of those fantastic places where it's always warm enough to do that. In that case, I hate you. But I digress.....here are some of my faves for Summer 2012!

Attention All Vintage Fashion Lovers!

I love a good vintage sale so I will definitely be attending Modern Vintage Chicago this weekend.  With 75 vendors there's bound to be something for everyone.  Advance tickets are $8 on the website or $10 at the door.

Belle epoque Closet Challenge Contest!

Here are a few shots of my closets for inspiration.  Basically I use our entire second bedroom as my closet as well as the walk-in closet in my bedroom.  I still wish I had more space!

 This is the closet the cats use to hide in whenever the vacuum cleaner is in use.  I am also forced to share part of it with my boyfriend.  He's also slowly trying to sneak his things onto my side.  This will have to stop.

This is my guest bedroom/extra closet.  Yes, those are stacks of shoe boxes.  No, they won't fit in the closet.

Charles James @ Chicago History Museum

The Chicago History Museum currently has an exhibit on couture fashion designer Charles James.  I'm hoping to catch it before it ends on April 16th.  

If you have never been to the Chicago History Museum, I highly recommend it.  Even if you're a native Chicagoan, you're bound to discover something you didn't know about this amazing city.
