Prabal Gurung showed his Fall 2013 collection this past Friday. Two days before the release of his capsule collection for Target. I absolutely adored the Target collection and luckily I got pretty much everything I wanted. (Okay, so I really wanted everything but I forced myself to choose a few favorites. Life is full of difficult decisions.)
With his collection for Fall, Prabal continues to be one of my favorite designers. I especially loved the deep peplums and the silky draped dresses.

Catwalk at Tracy Reese!
Literally! Lily the cat made her runway debut at Tracy Reese's Fall 2013 show this weekend. Tracy's PR had this to say:
“When preparing for her show, Tracy made it known that she draws inspiration from everything around her, including animals. Tracy loved the idea of incorporating cats into the runway show, saying that cats have a lot of energy, which was the perfect complement to the models and her new collection.”
I, of course, think this a fabulous idea. But with all the hoopla over the cat, how were the actual clothes? Pretty darn cute actually. Here are my fave looks from the collection.

Best of the 2013 Grammys Red Carpet
Last night's Grammys red carpet offered quite a few interesting choices. The Grammys are always one of my favorite red carpet events since the celebrities tend to go a little more over-the-top than they do for most red carpets. Below are my favorites of the night.
Alicia Keys in Alaia
Simple yet sexy. I often find all black gowns on the red carpet boring but that's not the case with this one.
Florence Welch in Givenchy
This dress is beautiful and quirky at the same time. I love it.
Beyonce in Osman
I actually really like that she wore pants. The look is really fresh and I'm loving those cuffs!
Katy Perry in Gucci
Katy is on a lot of worst dressed list for this one but I do love this dress. Perhaps it would look a little better though on someone with less ample cleavage. I think the color is beautiful and I love the detailing on the neckline.
Kelly Rowland in Georges Chakra
I love the sexy cut-outs! And Kelly's dress is even a more conservative version than the runway look!
Rihanna in Alaia
This is a bit of a change from Rihanna's more edgy looks. It's nice to see her looking pretty and glamorous.
Solange Knowles in Ralph & Russo Couture
Solange is definitely my favorite sister when it comes to red carpet dressing. She didn't disappoint last night in this gorgeous emerald green gown. The bright pinks shoes are the perfect addition.

Best of the 2013 Golden Globes Red Carpet
Another year and another awards season has begun! I have to say this year's GG red carpet was a little on the boring side. I understand that no celebrity wants to be on a worst dressed list but it never hurts to try something new. And if you do end up on the worst dressed list, at least people are still talking about you, right? I have more respect for a celebrity that takes a risk and fails miserably than one who sticks to the same old safe formula every time. Anyhoo, let's check out the dresses I did like from last night's red carpet.
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
She's had some pretty disappointing red carpet looks lately so I consider last night's look much improved. I love the color and I'm always a fan of a good waist-cinching belt.
Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta
This is one of those classic looks that I would probably call boring except she just looks stunning in it. Once again, I'm in love with the color and the necklace and hair are perfection.
Katharine McPhee in Theyskens' Theory
This dress is perhaps a little risque, but I think the clean lines and simple silhouette keep it quite chic.
Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen
This is probably my favorite dress of the night. I do kind of wish she had put her hair up so you could see the detailing on the neck better, but the dress itself is to die for. Congrats to Kate, she's been looking really good lately.
Julianne Moore in Tom Ford
Love her. Love Tom Ford. Enough said.
Kerry Washington in Miu Miu
It's just so pretty! This is sheer done right. Take notes Kristen Stewart.
Lucy Lui in Carolina Herrera
This is sure to be one of the more controversial dresses of the night. I didn't like this dress when I first saw it but it's grown on me. I like to see a print on the red carpet as it's so rarely done.
Nicole Richie in Naeem Kahn
The color is gorgeous and it fits her fantastically. Plus I love the fun clutch.
Naomi Watts in Zac Posen
So I'm generally more of a bright color girl and when oxblood became the big color for fall I was less than enthused. However, the more I see of it the more I'm starting to like it. I think this dress is a stunning example of an oxblood dress I like.
Taylor Swift in Donna Karen
I've never been a fan of Taylor Swift's red carpet style but I'm glad to see her trying something different with this look. Another dark color but I think it's quite chic.
Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka
She's 67 and she looks amazing!
And now for my worst dressed pick of the night.......
It's a tie between Jessica Chastain in Calvin Klein and Lena Dunham in Zac Posen. I hate to say this about Jessica as she's usually so great on the red carpet. I like the color but the saggy boob look is just not hot. And Lena's dress is just so incredibly unflattering and it ages her. She's too young and hip to be wearing something this dowdy.

Prabal Gurung for Target
Prabal Gurung, one of my absolute favorite designers, has created a collection for Target that goes on sale February 10th. I can't help but feel this collection was made specifically for me as February 10th happens to be my birthday and I love absolutely every piece. The prints are gorgeous and the shoes are amazing! Now we'll just have to see if I can actually get my hands on any of these pieces or if I'll end up getting burned like I was with the Missoni collection :(
Here are my favorite pieces I'll be trying for on the 10th. You can check out the complete lookbook here.

Shoe Love
These shoes are gorgeous! Ladylike with and edge. Pretty much anything that combines spikes and rhinestones is a hit with me.
