Everyday Shine

A few new pieces I can wear with almost anything. The gold and silver designs are simple enough to wear with everything and the personal touch makes me want to make these everyday pieces.

Ohne Titel Fall 2013

For Fall 2013 designers Alexa Adams and Flora Gill explored squares. They used them on every garment in a multitude of ways. What seems like a fairly simple concept made for some really interesting clothes. The dresses with the square paillettes are my personal favorites. I also especially love their droopy take on a peplum. I love a good peplum and here they seem to have taken a trend that's been done to death and made it look fresh.

3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2013

So I'm definitely more of a warm weather girl, but there's something about this collection that makes me excited about cooler temps. The coats are possibly my favorite part. These looks have that cozy cool vibe that follows Lim's fabulous Pre-Fall collection.

Pretty in Pink and Red

Some outfit inspiration for that special Valentine's Day date. Or maybe you're just gonna stay home and eat ice cream with your cats. That's okay too  :)

Calla Fall 2013

Designer Calla Haynes likes print and I like Calla! As we know, I'm a sucker for prints and bold colors so this up-and-comer is right up my alley.

Prabal Gurung Fall 2013

Prabal Gurung showed his Fall 2013 collection this past Friday. Two days before the release of his capsule collection for Target. I absolutely adored the Target collection and luckily I got pretty much everything I wanted. (Okay, so I really wanted everything but I forced myself to choose a few favorites. Life is full of difficult decisions.)

With his collection for Fall, Prabal continues to be one of my favorite designers. I especially loved the deep peplums and the silky draped dresses.

Catwalk at Tracy Reese!

Literally! Lily the cat made her runway debut at Tracy Reese's Fall 2013 show this weekend. Tracy's PR had this to say:

“When preparing for her show, Tracy made it known that she draws inspiration from everything around her, including animals. Tracy loved the idea of incorporating cats into the runway show, saying that cats have a lot of energy, which was the perfect complement to the models and her new collection.”

I, of course, think this a fabulous idea. But with all the hoopla over the cat, how were the actual clothes? Pretty darn cute actually.  Here are my fave looks from the collection.
