Prabal Gurung Spring 2014

There's a lot going on in Prabal Gurung's Spring 2014 collection but it all comes together in beautiful harmony. The look was 50's modernized with plastic harness backs, PVC skirts, bold prints, and plenty of embellishments. These lady-like yet sexy looks came in an interesting mix of brights and pastels. 

The shoes were fantastic strappy pumps that came in an array of colors to match the clothes. Very classy with an edge. I'm a big fan of the bold lip and I love how it was used here on the models. The lavender lips felt especially fresh.

Parental Advisory

I totally adore this sweatshirt from Alexander Wang's Spring 2014 collection. It brings me back to the days when my parents didn't allow me to buy any CD's with the parental advisory sticker on them.  Of course I owned some of these forbidden CD's anyway. As a crafty pre-teen I had my ways. This sweatshirt takes me back to those carefree days and for that I love it.

Also, who doesn't want to own a pair of elbow length gloves that say 'Wang' on them? I know I do!

I loooove this Spring 2013 Creatures of the Wind skirt Kate Foley is wearing shot here by Phil Oh at New York Fashion Week.

As a stylist and former buyer for Opening Ceremony, Kate no doubt has first access to some amazing fashion. She also owns an adorable cat named Weenie.

Creatures of the Wind Spring 2014

Shane Gabier and Chris Peters continue to make Chicago proud with another beautiful collection they showed yesterday in New York.  There was lots of patchwork and color-blocking in sherbet pinks, red, mustard and a dash of gold lame.  I'm absolutely in love with the finale dress with the floral embroidered bustier.
