NYFW Fall 2012 Part 1

New York Fashion Week is here!  These are some of my favorite looks from the shows so far. 

I was really impressed with Rachel Zoe's collection this time.  It wasn't life-changing or anything like that but it was full of really beautiful, very wearable clothes.  Sometimes the things I like the best are often the least wearable in real life so it was nice to see a collection I really liked and was really wearable at the same time.

Spring 2012 Couture

Some of my favorites from the spring couture shows.....

Versace was one of the only shows that used a lot of bright color.  I'm a girl who loves color, always have been, however the black and white dresses from Dior are quite beautiful.  And I'm in love with the all white Valentino pictured above. 

Collection

I have officially started a collection today.  A few months ago I came across these adorable kitchen tins while shopping at a vintage market in Chicago.  They had the most adorable pineapple motif and I bought the "Cookies" and "Sugar" tins that day.  Today while browsing on Etsy, I thought to look up the designer's name and see if anything came up.  What I found was a virtual treasure trove of Georges Biard pineapple covered pieces!  I bought a old fashioned tea pot and a wall clock.  I can't wait for their arrival to add them to my collection. 

Karl's New Kitty!

Karl Lagerfeld has a new kitty and it's name is Choupette. So freaking cute!



The Best of the 2012 Golden Globes!

Overall I wasn't really too impressed with the gowns at last night's Golden Globes.  Although nothing really wowed me there were some very pretty dresses on display.  Below are my favorites in no particular order.
