Fur & Steel

Flora Davis makes one-of-a-kind sculptural jewelry from some very unique materials.  She uses fur from her cat Gaia!  And if you love her creations but don't want to wear someone else's cat's fur, she can create a custom piece for you using your cat's hair.  All you have to do is collect all that unwanted fur from Mr. Fluffy and send it in.  Now, instead of getting annoyed at all that cat hair floating around you can look at it and think, "that would look loving hanging from my earlobes."

Resort 2013

The Resort 2013 collections are beginning to trickle in. Although Resort is traditionally not as important as the Spring and Fall collections, it's often one of my favorites due to the bright colors and bold patterns designers tend to favor for this season. Below are some of my favorites so far.  Erdem killed it with the prints (as usual) and Karl presented a very fashion forward Marie Antoinette at Versailles.  Plus one amazing emerald green gown at Oscar.

2012 Met Gala

Last night was the 2012 Met Gala, the ultimate in red carpets!  I love the Met Gala because people take risks! Of course that means there were some awful choices but overall a gorgeous and exciting red carpet this year. There was plenty of Prada in honor of the Met's new exhibit, Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations, and you had Anna Wintour in a Prada homage to Shiaparelli's lobster dress.  Anna! Lobsters! I can barely contain myself!
